Even though this blog is all about the Great Indoors, we love gardening at our house. A little bit of effort in the spring means a summer full of fresh, right-out-of-the-backyard vegetables. Tomatoes, squash, okra, cucumbers, even more. Mmmm mmm mmmm.

We even had a few volunteer pumpkins (identified as "mystery squash" above), even though it didn't make it until Halloween. After a hot summer, we still ended up with a little bit of harvest.
