Another Guest Bathroom: Complete!

A few months ago, I introduced you to my friend E's guest bathroom.  She had been renting a home for the past two years with a roommate and now has the place to herself.  We worked together to make a plan for her guest bathroom.  Here's how it turned out!

Here were the mood boards we started with:

Clockwise from the top left corner:  blue medallion, green medallion, blue gate, and multicolored bohemian.

Although we both fell in love with the mood board versions of each of the other shower curtains, they just didn't live up in person.  Our Kohl's had the green medallion curtain, and we actually bought the blue medallion curtain from Target online.  Both were much less vibrant when we saw them in living color.  The bohemian shower curtain was out of stock every time I tried to order it.

We ended up going with option 4 from Target.

EF's Bathroom 4

And E loved it!  Let's take a look at the whole bathroom, shall we?

That's toilet paper art, inspired by pins and posts around the blogosphere.  I pinned some things like it here and here.  Fitting, no?

E is still loving the $5 DIY vintage sign that I made for her during the last Pinterest Challenge.

She actually liked the term so much that she made her own little sign for the bathroom counter.  What a great hostess!  She found the idea (and the poem) on Pinterest.  Gotta love that time sucker site.

One of my favorite flowers is alstroemeria.  They're cheap (this bouquet was $3 at Kroger!), they last forever, and they're just plain happy.

The other happy thing in this space is E's Mason jar soap dispenser.  I followed these directions, and it was super easy and cheap-- $1 on the dispenser (clearance aisle at Lowe's), and E already had the jar on hand.  I love that she can change out the soap color to reflect whatever room it's in.

I'll be back later this week with a how-to on E's over-the-toilet organizer.

Our original budget was $60, and E decided we could put a little bit more money toward it since she got a super cheap dining room table.  It wasn't too bad over all, I'd say!

Source list and budget, and I linked when I could find online sources
Facilities sign $5 (read the tutorial here)
Shower curtain, Target $20
Curtain hooks $10
Curtain liner $15
Shower mat, Target $10
Toilet paper art FREE!
Flowers (alstroemeria) $3
Vase, Hobby Lobby $3
Mason jar soap dispenser pump $1.19
Picture frame, Target (similar frame here) $5
Over-the-toilet organizer overhaul $10 -- Post coming up later in the week about this project
Total:  $82

It was so fun to work with E to create a space she loves!  It also helps that we have similar taste (including our addiction for all things teal.. evidenced by my closet office), so I would totally move into her house now just to use this bathroom!  Guess I'll have to settle with seeing it now and then.  :-)

What do you think?  What's your favorite part?

P.S.  You can follow our Pinterest board for the room here.  I first talked about the space in this post, and gave a tutorial about our $5 DIY Vintage Sign here.
